Slow Cooker Crunchy Onion Chicken & Rice
Ingredients:
| 2 tbsp | FRENCH'S® Classic Yellow® Mustard | 30 mL |
| 3 lb | meaty chicken parts, skinned if desired | 1.5 kg |
| 2 cup | chicken broth | 500 mL |
| 14 oz | can stewed tomatoes | 397 g |
| 1 | large green bell pepper, coarsely chopped | 1 |
| 8 oz | pkg Spinach-style yellow rice mix | 250 g |
| 2 cup | FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions , ( 4 oz/120 g) divided | 500 mL |
Directions:
COAT a slow cooker with vegetable cooking spray. Place chicken into bottom of slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients except for 1 cup (250 mL) French Fried Onions. Stir.
COVER and cook on high setting for 3 hours until chicken is fork-tender, rice is cooked and all liquid is absorbed.
SERVE chicken and rice on platter and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup (250 mL) French Fried Onions.
Tips:
Or cook on low setting for 6 hours.
