Crunchy Onion Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

3 cup prepared hot mashed potatoes 750 mL
1 cup sour cream 250 mL
1/4 cup milk 50 mL
1/4 tsp garlic powder 1 mL
1 1/3 cup FRENCH'S® French Fried Onions, divided (1 (79 g) can) 325 mL
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided 250 mL

Directions:

MIX mashed potatoes, sour cream, milk and garlic powder.

SPOON half the mixture into 2-qt (2 L) casserole. Sprinkle with 2/3 cup (150 mL) French Friend Onions and 1/2 cup (125 mL) cheese. Top with remaining potato mixture.

BAKE at 350° F (180° C) for 30 minutes or until hot. Top with remaining onions and cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until onions are golden.

Tips:

Prepare instant mashed potatoes for 6 servings.
